Oops! We saved the wrong cat. So... our amazing group of volunteers went to a high kill shelter to save a sweet cat whose time was running out. After packing kitty up and hitting the road they realized OOPS we took the wrong cat. They were faced with a heart wrenching decision, do they keep him and leave another cat to be euthanized or do they send him back and pick up the original cat knowing they were basically choosing which cat would live and which one wouldn't. Both cats were past their expiry date of March 18th.
So what did All Creatures Rescue decide? Why save two cats of course!! Unfortunately our hearts are bigger than our pocket books.

Both cats (along with many of our other rescue animals) are in need of 3 things - love, medical care, and a forever home. Love- we so have that covered. Our amazing foster moms and dads are loving them up. A forever home- that will come. Medical care- that is where we need YOU.
Both cats (and our other rescues) are in need of vet care, vaccines, etc, but Charlie, or Oops as he is affectionately known, is in URGENT need of dental surgery. He has several broken teeth and a serious infection that the vet has told us must be causing him tremendous amounts of pain. He is on antibiotics to help treat the infection but without surgery he will lose the ability to eat. Charlie is only about 10- not old for a cat, and if any of you have ever had a toothache surely you can imagine his suffering! The estimate we have received for his dental surgery alone is over $2000.00.

We have other new rescues needing desperate medical attention and we could fill pages here telling you their heartbreaking stories and urgent medical needs. Any additional monies left over will go towards their vet bills. Be it a rat, a cat, a hamster, chinchilla, guinea pig, bunny, a whatever, we have made it our mission to rescue as many as we can.

All Creatures Rescue is a group of volunteers dedicated to the ongoing rescue and rehabilitation of animals that have been neglected, abused or have special needs. We are a small group of volunteers based in Toronto, but work alongside a network of other rescues and sanctuaries across North America. We receive no outside funding.

If you have room in your heart and home, please look through our list of animals available for adoption and complete and submit an application to adopt or foster. If you can’t adopt, please consider a donation to help with vet bills, food, supplies, transportation, and web hosting.
