Help us save Moo The Cat

Time is of the essence!
Long story short, Moo is otherwise healthy but has "sludge" causing urinary blockage. We took him to the emergency vet, and have been there since 2:30 AM. They tried giving him pain killers and muscle relaxers to help him pee, but it has not worked. He needs to stay 24-48 hours with a catheter to help him move things along, which is anticipated to cost $2,800 dollars. We need to pay upfront and the vet said it was okay for us to take him home "for a few hours" while we get the money together. We are also trying to call around and price shop. If you can help, please do!
It doesn't feel right not to give him the care he needs if all he needs is 24-48 hours of TLC and sleep.
