Help us save Lyra the cat

Hello everyone. Thank you so much for taking the time to click on our page. We’re trying to raise money to save our beautiful baby girl, Lyra the cat. She’s been with us since she was a kitten, four years ago and has grown up to be the most loving, gentle and mischievous cat an owner could ask for. She is truly part of our London family and James and I don’t know what we’d do without her.
Unfortunately, on Friday 9th March, Lyra was innocently exploring and playing in our back garden, as she so often does, when a neighbour’s husky dog broke into the garden and attacked her. The attack was vicious and brutal and it was pure luck that James and I were in the house that day to save her before it became fatal. She was rushed to an RSPCA emergency hospital, where she is still currently being treated in intensive care, in a critical condition. She has faced a lot of trauma and shock, and the extent of her injuries are severe, including a broken leg and bruising to her whole body.
The RSPCA have been incredible so far and have done everything they can to help her recovery, however, they are limited in their facilities and treatments and what Lyra really needs now to pull through is a specialist CT scan to understand the extent and severities of the damage to her internal organs. The results of this scan will help the vets to determine what surgery Lyra needs to save her life. The cost of transferring her to this specialist vet along with the scan, the surgery, and her hospitalisation is estimated at around £4000 (this is not including the treatment she is currently receiving at the RSPCA.)
Obviously, James and I don’t have that kind of money, but we want to do anything possible to try and give her the best chance of recovery. We are trying everything in our power to get the money together but we don’t have a lot of time left. Any money you could spare for our Lyra would be massively appreciated, it doesn’t matter how little, every penny helps towards getting our baby well and home.
Sadly, without this treatment there is not much else the RSPCA will be able to do for her and we would have to consider the heartbreaking decision of putting her to sleep. So please, from the bottom of our hearts, we will be so thankful and grateful for anything you could give that will bring us closer to our target and closer to saving our Lyra.
