Who are we?

Pigfoot Theatre are an award-winning emerging theatre company, dedicated to creating unconventional theatre which is loud, physical, and green.

“The clever Pigfoot company actually practises what it preaches about climate change... while whisking the audience off on an expedition to save the last polar bear on earth.” (Sunday Times)

What is How To Save A Rock about?

How To Save A Rock is a climate-change comedy about how to still have hope. An entirely carbon-neutral show, the lighting is powered by bike and solar power, all production materials are recycled and recyclable, and all sound is created live.

Quick catch-up: it’s 2026, and we've got four years left to save the world. Half a degree out, and millions of lives are at risk. The temperatures are rising, and so are the people – but not enough has changed.

Also, there's only one polar bear left alive, and he’s written us a letter. We're going to save him. Will you help?

Winner of the Sunday Times Playwriting Award, and the Samuel French New Play Award, 2019.

Why do we need your help?

The Edinburgh Fringe is a wonderful opportunity to develop our work and spread the word about environmentally-conscious theatre, but it's not cheap! For an idea, here are some of the key costs we're expecting this year:

Venue Hire: £1700
Fringe Registration: £400
Brochure Entry: £600
Flyers and Marketing: £400
Set and Costume: £100
Accommodation & Transport: £2000

Without the support of our friends and family (and the kindness of strangers!), none of this would be possible. Anything you could spare would mean the world to us! And if you're not in a position to donate but would like to support us in some way please do tell your friends and family to help spread the word about our production.
