We are the Shantaya's, owners of The Yoga School Ithaca, Ny. We are looking to our community for support. We all know it isn't easy to go out on a limb and build your dream. We choose to do it and it has been beautiful and it has been a struggle. We need your support to keep us in this beautiful struggle! For our will is strong and we are ready to struggle to see The School flourish! So please give what you can... Even your prayers help❤️
We as a family took a large risk in opening our dream, The Yoga School. We put all of our energy into the creation of the school and the raising of our family. Through The School, Lennessa and I are learning to work together in our work life and our home life. We are able to each be with our children while the other is working. As homeschoolers this is important to us.
We are both spiritual people, who love the service of teaching Yoga. We try to make our program affordable to the public and do outreach to all parts of the community. We care to keep the practice pure in its origins and do our best to share the truths of yoga.
Through our young years as a business we both have struggled with being a buisness. We are teachers trying to find our way in the business world. Our youth in this important aspect of owning a buisness has truly affected us... But we are still moving forward!
With the money we receive from this campaign we are excited to make some changes to tidy up The School as a business and still teach the truths of yoga. We plan to launch a new updated mobile-friendly website, with online payment and class reservation possibilities. We are researching different studio softwares to smooth out the running of the business and keep us up to date and on track. We are looking to hire a business manager and/or marketing specialist to fulfill some of the "behind the scenes" duties and free up time for Lennessa to teach more:) The School needs fresh mats and blocks. We need supplemental funds to stay current on rent during one of our slowest years, and to survive TWO more construction projects in neighboring businesses(Mate Factor's current project and the anticipated high-rise build above the Benchwarmers and Race Office Supply buildings). We feel blessed to move forth in this dream creating success for The School and our family.
We are working together to revive The Yoga School and we need your help! So consider any amount you can give to keep this asset in our community. 250 people giving 20 dollars each makes $ 5000. I know there our 250 people out there who love and care about the Yoga School and are willing to give 20 dollars.
