Rebekah: "Coaxial Chaos is the culmination of years of work for me, both creative and otherwise. The idea of completing and releasing this record in the capacity I want and with no compromises has been one of the primary driving factors for myself and my projects since recording it in 2015. Putting a definitive end to an era that I am proud to have survived through and sharing my ideas and sounds with those who may find solace and camaraderie in them are my main hopes through this album, and after all the energy and resources that have gone into it, I want to make sure that I do justice to myself and anyone who may gain from hearing these tracks by ensuring that they reach anyone who is receptive to these things."

Bekah's spent approx 5 years creating these songs. They have endured all manner of personal hells. They've been her arsenal while running the gauntlet in a society writhing in pains both of growth and hideous self-destruction, during this century's teens. You've heard them on her tours, permanently echoing wonderful times at Far House basement shows in Ann Arbor, epic memories of the Ultra Mega Awesome Extreme parties in Detroit, and so forth... A lot can happen in 5 years, and for Bekah these trax are a saturated document of it all.

Sonically, this record fucking bangs. If you are familiar with Watabou you already know it is a meticulously orchestrated storm of gabber, chiptune, electro, with grind growls and singing alike. Additional instrumentation, such as quite a bit of guitar, offers new elements even to those of us previously familiar with her live sets. The album was exceptionally mixed by Matthew Morden (of Bubblegum Octopus) and professionally mastered by Audiosiege.

Rebekah: "The main intention of this crowdfunding is to help offset the costs of printing the Watabou LP Coaxial Chaos as much as possible so that my resources and the resources of Realicide Records can go toward the accompanying Coaxial Chaos Tour in order to directly reach as many people as possible. Total selfless donation is an option, though there are various unique rewards to incentivize contribution. If donations miraculously exceed the amount to fund the LP, further donations will go toward creating, performing, and generally doing everything possible to continue bringing myself to you and others in as direct and meaningful of a capacity as possible."

This funding campaign attempts to cover the album's costs, including production/mastering, vinyl pressing (QCA local here in Cincinnati), printing full color covers (via Imprint), vinyl stickers (via Stickerguy), shirt printing (Marky Shotgunblast here in Cincy), and whatever mailing supplies we can't procure for free. Manufacturing 300 copies of the LP should come to around $2,000. The other $500 would be used for shirt printing (editioned according to pre-orders) and postage. Digital download sales are meant to recover production costs. Questions, ideas, or anything, write to: [email redacted]

We will gradually post photos of this new stuff, and trax from the album, so look out! Thanx for any support coming in any form, both from Bekah of Watabou, and this obscure record label for genuinely misfit hardcore noize, Realicide.
