Support Survivors of Sexual Violence & Trafficking

Tax deductible
UPDATE: **** We have made our match!  Thank you to all who have reached out and continued to donate to The Center in support of survivors!  YOU made this possible!

It has truly been a challenging, yet incredible,  journey for SASC this past year.  We have experienced a number of difficult moments, but have endured and persisted throughout for our clients and the cause.

As of March 10, 2019, we have over 60 new clients for the year of 2019 with those numbers climbing each day.  SASC advocates are sometimes one of the first means of contact with survivors after an assault or other form of violence has occurred or if a survivor comes forward later on after the abuse/assault.  Our job is to educate, support, provide services, give options, and sometimes simply listen to those who may not have felt heard previously.

Since the fire, we have worked diligently to raise funds to increase access to our services, provide new additions (on-site exam room) to our growing center, and make our new center as comfortable as possible for those impacted by trauma. Recently, we received word from a generous anonymous donor that if we can raise $20,000 this donor will match it with their own $20,000!  This is a huge win for the center and our clients!

This is where we need YOUR help!  We need this funding for our center and clients. Our city, surrounding area, and YOU deserve a center that has a comfortable space for those who are in crisis, can provide those needs as soon as possible in a private and confidential manner, and continue to grow for those who are in need of these services.  The funding will go towards obtaining the suite next to the main office where advocates, adult female support group, teen support group, and eventual on-site therapy will be held.  This is a safe space for survivors to speak about their stories without judgement and where they can receive free and confidential services.

Sexual violence impacts a large number of Americans every day: "Ever 98 seconds another American is sexually assaulted" (RAINN).  This includes those who have experienced sexual violence, human trafficking, stalking, and dating violence in our area.  Remember that change begins with you, and you have the power to make a difference in our community!

Please stand with us and be a part of the change in our area! Donate today and spread the word!

Thank you!
