Help Us Help Scott Fight This Rare Cancer

Donation protected
My friends just received devasting news: at the prime of his life, Scott Harbin has been diagnosed with a hard-to-treat form of cancer, Adenocarcinoma.  It's not so much the Adenocarcinoma that's so rare: it's the location and very difficult to treat in his situation.

He is only 47 years old and experienced deep, drop-to-the-knees pain in his side only a month ago. Blood tests didn't even show cancer but after further exploration, it was found in an area that was the source of the pain.

THIS IS A DIRE SITUATION. Scott's cancer is situated in an area where it cannot be surgically removed, nor can radiation be used because healthy organs would be jeopardized. The only treatment at this time is chemotherapy and, unfortunately, his and wife Dina's health insurance does not cover the treatments.

The cancer is now strangling his aorta and is threatening other organs along its path.

Another alternative treatment may offer some benefit but is just as costly: Immunotherapy which uses medications that support the immune system to kill cancer.  Again, a very costly endeavor but worth giving a shot if enough funds were available to try.

Scott and Dina are selling everything they own except the fifth wheel they live in and cutting everything back that they can since they have already started to rely on Dina's income alone.

They are an outstanding and fun-loving couple who have been married for over 30 years and cannot fathom their love coming to such a harsh end on Earth. This entire situation has shaken them both to the core, as many of us only know first-hand how cruel cancer is and often comes abruptly, unexpectedly, and unannounced.

The funds would go to treatments as well as some basic living expenses. Even $5 would be extremely welcome and so appreciated. If donating money doesn't work for you right now, YOUR PRAYERS ARE MOST WELCOME.

Thank you so much for considering donating both.
