Help us get to Howard & Howard Basketball Camp

We are a sports club based in the Borough of Wandsworth. We all come from different backgrounds, but have developed one keen interest which is being potential student basketball athletes. The basketball programme here has helped us to gain discipline both on and off the court. Also it has helped us to be well rounded people to develop the necessary skills needed for our success. Our coach works diligently to ensure that we learn transferrable skills and that we do not allow the pressures and hardships of the world to make statistics out of us. Living in inner city London means that we don't always have the resources or access to the things we need as our parent's don't always have the funds. Despite all of this we received a great opportunity and invitation for our club to attend the Howard & Howard Basketball Camp in Atlanta, USA, where we will be trained by experienced coaches with NBA affiliations. 

Because of the costs of flying out, accommodation, travel, food and camp itself, not all of us could attend but we have fundraised for the some of the costs of the accommodation. Unfortunately our school (who originally agreed to support us) has decided to withhold the funds that we raised and we are now staying across a couple of homes and not together having the experience that we hoped for.

We need your help to keep our dream alive. The trip takes place every year in July. Our teams will travel from
London to Atlanta. While some of our families are able to contribute to make this trip possible for their
children, we have other families who simply cannot afford to take on these costs.  We class ourselves as a family before being a basketball team, so we do not intend on leaving anyone behind. Will you help us raise money in order to pay for our accommodation?

We will be able to meet, play and train with players of the same age group as well as learn the methods and the lifestyle that is needed to be skilled Basketball players in the future. We will also have the opportunity to attend WNBA/ Professional League Games and get a sense of what it may take to play at a professional level in the future.
