Aloha Animal Sanctuary is Oahu's first non-profit sanctuary for rescued pigs, cows, goats, and other farmed animals. Our mission is to provide forever homes for these animals in need. We hope to be a safe haven not just for animals, but for the community, as well. A place where farmed animals can live freely and in peace, and a place where children and their families can visit and connect with them. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we will be funding our day-to-day operations through donations from people like you.

Aloha Animal Sanctuary was started by four friends and animal rights activists who are united by their dedication to advocating for and improving the lives of animals. Living on O’ahu, Hawai’i, we became intimately aware of the cows, pigs, sheep, and other farmed animals around us who were suffering, needed help, and had no safe place to go.

We knew we needed to do something, so we created Aloha Animal Sanctuary, O'ahu's first non-profit farm sanctuary. Now, we need your help to make our vision a reality.

We are a completely volunteer-run organization; none of our team members receive compensation. All of the money we raise goes towards providing care for the animals, and enables us to rescue and bring more animals to our sanctuary.

Aloha Animal Sanctuary is officially opening its doors and welcoming its first resident, Haku, on 1/1/19.  Haku is a 300 pound pig who was raised for his meat on a backyard farm and was going to be someone's Thanksgiving meal. He was brought to the attention of the sanctuary and we were able to save his life.

We need to raise money to:

- Build fencing and homes for Haku and other Aloha Animal residents
- Continue to rescue farmed animals
- Pay for animals' veterinary bills
- Pay for animals' food
- Purchase tools and supplies (wheelbarrow, shovels, gloves, weed-cutter, etc.)
- Build a shed for storing volunteer tools and supplies
- Buy canopy/seating area for volunteers to utilize for shade/ in rain
- Build Water Catchment System (no running water on property)
- Porta-Potty Rental for the property
- Buy solar lighting for property in the evening

Haku is the first of many farmed animal residents we hope to have. We plan to bring in another 1-2 sanctuary residents by the beginning of February 2019, and hope to continue to grow our Aloha Animal family each month after. Donations we raise from this fundraiser will go towards veterinary bills, food, shelter, and other expenses for each of these new animals who join us.

In addition, we are currently pursuing purchasing a larger piece of property for the Sanctuary’s permanent home. Donations we raise will help us build a larger space for the animals and a place for the community to visit and enjoy.  The more money we raise, the more animals we can save, together. We can only be successful with your help.

As we grow, we hope to be a safe haven not only for farmed animals, but also for the community. We see ourselves as a place where individuals and families can visit to learn about and interact with farmed animals they may have never met or would rarely see. We hope to foster meaningful relationships between the public and our Aloha Animal Sanctuary residents.

It takes a village, and we couldn't do it without our supporters like YOU!
