My mom is living every parent's worst nightmare...
Last week:
Our nightmare started last week when we were told my brother was missing. No one had seen or heard from him in several days. My heart dropped because I knew something had to be wrong. On Friday I went to his home in Henderson, NV to try to find him or get some answers. When I arrived the local police and coroner were already there. The coroner told me my brother had passed. Imaging trying to sign coroner’s paperwork through tears and thinking about how to tell my mom that her worst fear has come true.
My mom is absolutely devastated at the thought of burying one of her babies. As a mother myself I can't even imagine the pain she is going through.
My brother was the guy always fighting for the underdogs, especially kids. He found his passion as a paralegal working with single dads. His friends describe him as a good friend who could always make them laugh. That was my brother, the king of cheesy jokes!!!
Please help us bring John home:
While we are trying to make things as easy as possible for my mom, this week we learned that (like most of us) my brother had done no planning and had no funds to pay for his final expenses. My mom's only wish is to bring her son home and give him a proper burial. We are working hard to make this happen for my mom. She needs to see her son one more time.
How you can help:
While we are trying to get the funds together for his transportation and funeral, time is against us. There are daily fees adding up in addition to the regular costs of a funeral and burial. It is never easy asking for help, but here we are. If you find it in your heart to donate, please know that any amount will help.
