Help Tyler Return to His Family

Donation protected
Tyler Michael Biever was born November 26, 2015 to parents battling drug addictions. The Illinois Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS) took custody of him while he was still in the hospital soon after and hasn't returned him to his family since.

His parents recieved treatment for substance abuse and hoped to regain custody of their child. Both were doing well in their recovery until Tyler's father Troy Biever relapsed and passed away on October 13, 2016.

Tyler's grandfather Ted Biever—a decorated Marine Corps veteran and well-respected member of his community—didn't want his grandson to be raised by a foster family. So, after the passing of Troy, Ted and his daughter April petitioned to adopt Tyler themselves. Sadly, the DCFS denied their request and decided to keep Tyler in a foster home.

But Ted and April aren't done fighting. They believe Tyler deserves to grow up in a stable and nurturing environment, not a foster home.

Their new plan is to hire a great attorney who can help them fight the DCFS and get Tyler back where he belongs—with family who loves him. Custody battles can be long and expensive, however, which is why we're trying to raise money to help Tyler return home to his family.

Anything you can donate to help cover their legal expenses would be greatly appreciated by Ted, April, and most of all Tyler.

Thank you, and please help spread the word!
