Help Trouble get to Oregon!

Donation protected
The Scotts Valley Trouble 14U fastpitch softball team climbed back from the elimination bracket to win 4 straight games and clinch 3rd place in the USA Softball Northern California Championships, located in Hayward, CA 6/22 through 6/24.  As a top finisher in this select tournament the team received a berth to the Western Nationals located in Salem, OR taking place July 30 through August 4.

Our team will be working hard to prepare for this event, and showcase our best local talent against other western U.S teams, but is asking the Scotts Valley community for financial support to help cover travel costs for this week long event. The team has set up this page for any businesses or individuals who would like to support our program.

I am very happy to see this group reach their potential, and get the exposure of teams from different regions/states. The Trouble program, led by Director Jeff Liebenberg, provides summer opportunities for girls to elevate their level of play, have fun, and contribute to the success of our local high school programs.

Trouble, in their own words...

I have only been playing softball for 3 years now and I honestly never thought that I would be in this position. I am proud to be apart of this experience as we will be making Trouble history and representing our hometown of Scotts Valley. We have worked  hard as a team and it feels amazing that it has paid off and has shown us all what we are capable of. I am so beyond grateful to be playing alongside such amazing and talented players and I can’t wait to see what we bring to the table during Nationals. Go Trouble!!

Ashley Lewis, SS, Team Captain

I want to go to Western Nationals because it will be an unforgettable experience and it will allow our team to grow and bond. Playing  strong and experienced teams will push our team to become better”

-Maddy Jin, Catcher

“I have been playing softball on this team since I was 9 years old and to have the opportunity to go to nationals is a dream come true”

-Kristin Powell, OF/1B

My sister got to go to Nationals in San Diego and it was very fun for her. I didn’t even play and I had a good time watching her games. Now that I have a chance to go and play, I get to experience what my sister got to and have a great time.

-Alysa Harrington, Pitcher

It’s hard to believe I’m a part of a Trouble team that’s making history just by qualifying for finals.  I am so excited to represent our hometown of Scotts Valley, California. Softball has been an important part of my life since I was 5 years old.

-Kalea Bright, CF/2B

Nationals would be a huge step in my softball career. I’d love to go! #GetBrookToSalem

-Brook Winters, OF

The reason nationals is important to me is because this is my first year of Trouble softball and it is absolutely amazing that our team got this chance to go to nationals.  It would be incredible if our team raised enough money to be able to go to Oregon for nationals!

-Marina Ruiz, OF

Nationals for me will be an awesome experience and great to show how much our team has worked.

-Sofia Mendoza, 3B

This experience we get to have means so much to me, it will help me get closer with every amazing girl on my team, and I can’t wait to play other teams. I love the game and the opportunity to go this far with my best friends is a dream come true.

-Scarlett Finn, Pitcher

To me for nationals would be a one time thing that would be a great learning experience for the team and I, it will make us strive to do better and grow stronger as a team.

I have been playing Trouble since I was 7 years old, and to finally get this opportunity after all these years of playing means so much to me! I am so proud to represent my home town of Scotts Valley and compete against teams from other areas.
