Help Trav Recover From his Severe Health Crisis

This month, our very own Travis Heffernan suffered a series of catastrophic medical emergencies that subsequently left him in the ICU. An infection on Trav’s heart and pacemaker sent bacteria upward, causing a stroke and severe bleeding in his brain. The trauma of the event sent him into a coma for a week. Faced with numerous complications including pneumonia, a blood clot in his spleen, and surgery to remove the infected pacemaker, Travis has spent a month in the ICU, to be followed by a long period of rehabilitation. His illnesses were both unexpected and extremely traumatic for him and his loved ones. With an extended stay in the hospital that involves around-the-clock care, testing, and medication, Travis’ medical bills will far exceed what his insurance will be able to cover. What’s more, it may be months before he is able to return to work.

Travis aka Lord Magnos, aka Captain Ultra Fist, aka Trav, aka Uncle Trav is one of the most creative, inventive and multitalented people around. Travis has used his imagination and his passion for fitness to create several pro wrestling characters, Lord Magnos and Captain Ultra Fist. These characters have brought joy to kids and adults alike in the Super Awesome Showdown events he has performed in and hosted with a group of likeminded performers and friends. His niece Fiona notes about Captain Ultra Fist, “He’s awesome and cool and I like that he’s blue.”

These family-friendly shows aren’t the only outlet for Trav’s incredible ideas. He’s taught Krav Maga, made incredibly crazy and crazy delicious cake creations (see pictures), is currently taking Tango lessons, and is a content writing for an online Role Playing Game (RPG). We love him and all the wonderful things he’s done in this world so deeply, and we hope you can help us support his recovery.
