To raise fees for Pink Therapy Foundation course

Donation protected
I am feeling nervous about asking for help on this. It is also too important to me not to ask. I need to try.

I have been offered a place on Pink Therapy's Foundation Certificate in Gender, Sexual and Relationship Diversity Therapy.

It is specifically designed for therapeutic work with people of diverse genders, sexualities, identities, relationships, lifestyles & practices.

I'm the first Certified Sexological Bodyworker and first non-therapist to be offered a place. It is a massive opportunity to have therapists and sexological bodyworkers learning and developing together.

As many of you know, I have funded myself for the last year, retraining to be a Certified Sexological Bodyworker. In other words, I am a somatic sex educator and a member of ASIS (Association of Somatic & Integrative Sexologists).

I love the learning and seeing the impact the sessions have on the people who come to see me is remarkable. Slowly I am building my practice with integrity and care.  It is an uphill struggle at times as Sexological Bodywork is relatively new to many people including therapists. I am also still in recovery from surgery on my foot, which impacts how much I can manage physically and how much rest I need. I am healing well and by the time the course starts I should be fully mobile.

I believe that a blended approach of talking therapies, embodied coaching, and client led bodywork, which includes our sexuality, gender identity, and relationship preferences is the way forward for many.

The commitment is 324.5 hours over a period of 12 months.

I have checked my diary and I can make every single face to face training day and webinar.

I have the desire, the commitment and the enthusiasm to do this.

The one thing I lack are the funds to pay for the fees.

I need to pay a £500 deposit asap (which I have), and if I can pay the remainder of the fees by 1st April they knock 10% (£230) off, making the total fees for the year £2570 rather than £2800.

Throughout the year I would need to pay for supervision. I believe I will be able to afford that once my practice is fully up and running. It is the initial outlay of the fees to get on the course, right now, after funding myself for a year that is the challenge.

I want to be part of the change in the way we work with each other.

I want to celebrate sexuality in an ethical, consensual, shame-free, judgement-free environment and being able to learn from therapists and have them learn from Sexological Bodyworkers is, I believe, a way to help turn the tide. We can work better together.

Can you help me?
