Help this kitty have a better life

My name is Emily & a couple of weeks ago a kitty loudly stumbled upon my doorstep looking for food. I was immediately disturbed to see that the cat had a gruesome degloving injury to its tail. The tip of what was left of the tail was draining and bleeding and seemed to be painful for the cat. The cat was licking at the tail constantly. I knew that it would be my mission to get this cat the medical attention it needed. Without knowing whether the cat was male or female, it quickly became known as "Milo". With the help of a few caring individuals and Concerned Citizens for Animal Welfare of Volusia County, we were able to get Mila to the vet today. She did not want to cooperate with going in the carrier at first! It turns out that "Milo" is actually "Mila" and is an approximately 8 year old spayed female and is negative for feline leukemia. She must have belonged to someone at some point, but after seeing her come to my doorstep almost everyday for weeks now, I know she is homeless. I confirmed with neighbors that she does not belong to anyone. She is as loving as can be and deserves a great home after she is provided with medical attention, which will be arranged. This week, she will undergo surgery to get her tail fixed and we also want to get her shots, a flea treatment and provide her with any antibiotics she may require following surgery. According to the vet that saw her today, this will cost approximately $300. With the promise that Mila goes to a loving home, we are asking for donations towards her medical bill. Let's give this kitty a better healthy life! This Gofundme is endorsed by CCFAW and connected to their PayPal account.
