Help the teachers of Sare

Want to give a great gift to Australia’s closest neighbours this Christmas?
I’ll be going back to East Timor in January and while there I’d like to be able to bring some gifts to a local school I have supported over the years.
The school in the village of Sare has very few resources and they’re especially in need of sports equipment for the children and a computer and printer for the teachers (yep, just one: it would be their first and would be shared among the five teachers).
This is me teaching English with my friend Rui in Sare last year:
Sare is focused on rice production: these kids were right at home in the paddies:
As an incentive, Adam and I are putting together a Christmas celebration to raise some money for these gifts. We’re buying all the food and will be putting every cent you contribute into buying these things and getting them to Sare. None of your contributions will pay for my transport, either: our tickets are paid for so it’s all going to support this school to make a difference for their kids.
We’ll be serving some Timorese dishes amongst some more familiar Christmas fare, and we’ll ask that you throw at least $75 AUD into the hat if you're coming along.
