Help the Farmers recover from a home burglary

Donation protected
These are my dear friends Steve and Angelina Farmer.

I met them this year and since they have made life better here for me.  They introduced me to a wonderful community I didn't even know was here and have included me in many of their activities. Thanksgiving was such a time they were wonderful enough to include me.

All of us including Angelina's mom went to a friend's house for dinner and conversation. The evening started out wonderful but once we arrived at the Farmer's home, it took quite a turn.

I remember Angelina standing, with her keys in her hand so she could unlock the gate to get in and open the big gate for the car, just staring at the gate. She looked at the gate then to Steve waiting in the car and pointed to the gate. "It's gone!"

Sure enough, the lock on the gate onto their property was ripped out of the gate itself and once we got the gate open and the car's headlights hit the wide open front door of their home, we knew what happened.

Someone broke into their home.

Steve called the police as he went over to a neighbor's (it had already been determined no one was still on the property). Angelina, her mother and myself went in. Angelina quickly went through looking for the animals and I remember hoping that they were okay. I know how much animals mean to Angelina, it's one of many things I love about her. Once the everyone was found and it was determined everyone was okay, it was time to assess the damage. Steve had come back in and was just standing at their office door staring, not saying a word. I think we all knew it was empty.

They took the only equipment in the Farmer home that meant everything. Their custom built computers, the router, the modem, their tablets, and their photography equipment and drones.

These items mean so much because that is how they make their living. Their business Doc PC Enterprises, is run from their computers and is in fact all about keeping computers healthy and the owners happy.

Not only that, Steve is a student via online classes where he is working towards another degree in IT Management. He is currently researching ways to map out archaeological sites or other areas of interests and render them in 3D. I don't make it sound as grand as it really is as I'm not sure how it all works. Even though Steve has explained it a few times to me.

Angelina does graphic design and web development so her system was designed to run all of her Adobe programs usually at the same time while she was working on something else. She also stepped in and did a bit of virtual assistant work and even worked with Amazon for a time. She is an student anthropologist (forensics and archaeology) and is the muse to Steve's research.

Steve and Angelina both help others like myself, with computer problems; both hardware (Steve) and software (Angelina). They always make sure their fees are tailored to the person's situational needs and gladly work with them so they get the computer work they need. Sometimes not charging them at all.

The Farmers had suspended their home insurance so that they could bring Angelina's mother down from Alaska to live with them after Angelina's father passed on. They were just talking about starting it back up earlier in the week, but with the holiday, had to wait.

Of course the thieves took more than just their computing equipment. There are many other things that is missing that they will never see again. Most of it sadly was stuff that was only valuable to them and them alone.

Thankfully the thieves didn't destroy the house. They didn't touch mementos, pictures or trinkets all over the home, including collectibles they both have.

The focus seemed to be on electronics that could be seen and quickly grabbed, the safe (with three months rent, passports, and animal's health histories) and anything else they thought was valuable. Yes, this does mean Angelina's jewelry as well.

They did make a mess of the their bedroom however. Probably looking for more things as there was clothes scattered and things from the night stands thrown across the bed. Apparently they stole Angelina's pillowcase and used it as a loot bag.

While waiting for the police to arrive,  Angelina was crying and Steve told her that at least the security cameras caught whomever it was and they would have that.

And he was correct.

He passed them along to me so that I can share them in hopes someone has any leads to the successful capture and arrest of either of these men. There is a reward, please contact myself or the Farmers directly for more information.

Here are those videos:

Burglary documentation and video

The thieves stole the security cameras as well, possibly in the hopes to get whatever video the cameras recorded. What they probably did not know, is the system records video to the cloud. To which Angelina and Steve can easily access and get any videos. At least until the thieves pulled the power on the modem, router or the cameras. This is why the videos are not long or many.

There is no doubt that their dogs knew these men. At some point one, if not both of them were on their property while the Farmers were home. Angelina told me about Anubis (seen in the first video at the bottom of the frame) was ready to tear the cable guys a part when they came to replace the modem and router. Anubis was not going to let them into their house! Angelina had mentioned to me that there was someone who was working on the property that was making Anubis nervous.

This is a dog that loves everyone and generally will follow people around the property, tail wagging. I can't keep this darling dog out of my lap when I visit! But apparently when someone was on the property, Anubis was against the front door or was walking around with her head down and tail tucked. As if she was afraid of one of the men. And as you can see in the other videos, none of the dogs are seen again.

I stayed with them that night of course. I wasn't going to leave them at such a horrible time. It seemed like every time someone turned around, something was missing.

I cannot believe such horrible things have happened to some of the most wonderful people I've met. Their lives have been turned upside down and now they are stuck with no way to earn an income, no way to continue on with studies or research. Many in the community have made sure they are going to be able to pay their rent and have food and emotional support, even offering old tablets or laptops to borrow.

But for them to be able to pick up and continue on they need more than just borrowed equipment.

The kind of systems and set up they had easily out costs anything they had left in reserves. mostly set aside for the holiday season gift buying. They worked for years building up the equipment and bought things as they could afford them. But now they have to buy the stuff all at once and the amount made my head swim!

Please assist me in helping this wonderful family out! Even if you just share the heck out of this would be absolutely wonderful.

I would love to see them up and going again helping others and making our community here just that much better.

Thank you to all my dear friends out there.

I just found out that darling Angelina was secretly working on a website for me! She said it was going to be her gift to me (and of course to my fans). She just needs to pull things off the cloud and onto a good system to finish it all up. She does point out that a web site can be done with only a few little programs, but not well. Or as she says "Not good enough for Miss February of '69!"
