Help The Davis Family Move Fund

This is NOT a thing I want to write or ask for, but feels there is no other choice.  We have been renting out current home for 2 and a half years and our landlord had decided to sell the home and gave us a 15 DAY notice to vacate the property, per Utah law.  VIA TEXT MESSAGE!!!  Now, granted, she DID show up at our home at 9 pm with a copy of her text to cover herself legally.

We have NEVER been late with rent nor had the utilities turned off for a disconnect. We have LOVED this home as our own and thought we were under the same understanding with the landlord that we wanted to be long term renters so our kids could graduate from the Pleasant Grove High School.  If we are even able to move out on the day requested, it is the first day of school for our youngest 3 children and they are in key years for schooling.

Here's the dilemma and a little back story on our situation. My husband Matt is a disabled veteran and I am now the main provider for our family of 6. We have 4 children, there’s Tatim-19, Savannah-17(Starting her Senior year of HS), Michael-14(a Freshman), & JD-12(6th grade). The boys are both playing Football & are Wrestlers and Matt coaches them in BOTH sports.  We are very dedicated to our children and want to make this transition on them to be as smooth as possible.

We have NO money left in our savings due to my medical issues(a whole other story) and having a job that does not offer sick leave when I do have an episode, and with only being given 15 days to move, we are facing an impossible feat and why we have resorted to asking for help.  We asked her to at least give us 60 days so we can have time to save and find a place and she refused simply saying “the contract you signed says a 15 day notice, sorry. I know you can do it.”

After doing our research on available properties, we have realized that we will need anywhere from $4-5,000 for the move. ALL places want First & Last months rent along with a security/damage deposit that is the same dollar amount.

Thank you for even reading this and even considering our situation. If you cannot donate, we understand, but we would ask that you share our story.  It is greatly appreciated!!
