Help Team DV8 Go to FIRST Championship in Houston!

To Our Friends, Family, and Supporters,
Our scrappy, passionate, second year robotics team, Deep Vision (DV8), has qualified against considerable odds to go to Houston for the FIRST Championship! Our robot sustained significant damage in the Monterey regional competition last week, where the lift mechanism broke off, but our team rebounded to excel as a defensive player. Other teams took note, and we were recruited by a winning alliance to earn a spot in the Championship April 17, 2019!
Our team of 17 members (from 4 local high schools and one middle school) are ecstatic and committed to go! But not having expected to make it this far in just our second year of competition, we're struggling with the sudden cost, logistics, and learning curve of participating in the FIRST Championship in Houston. These next two weeks will be critical!
We will use any funds raised to help pay for the $5000 registration fee for the FIRST Championship. Any additional funds will go towards the approximate $1000 cost of tuning up our damaged robot and crating/shipping it to Houston.
