Who We Are?

Pakistani Youth Organization®(PYO), registered in Pakistan and Canada (KAR No.0219 of 2007-08 under Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860, Sindh, Pakistan) and (Corp. Access No. 5016340845 under Alberta Societies Act, Canada), is a dynamic forum of the energetic and passionate youth, who aims to contribute to the welfare of the society in every aspect through every constructive measure. The purpose of the Youth association is to provide a platform for the young generation to groom and polish their talents along with utilizing those skills in achieving objectives that are productive for the betterment of our country and nation as a whole. It was founded on 8th March 2007.

Tauseef Memorial School (TMS) is a charity-based school that runs daily in four shifts. It is a self-funded long-term education project by the energetic PYO members, to privilege every child with quality education especially the poor child labor. It is situated in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi. The school was inaugurated on August 1st, 2007. It is named after one of the dedicated member of PYO, Tauseef Ahmed, who lost his life in an accident on 28th April ’07. We named our project then as ‘Tauseef Memorial School.’ Presently 180 students are enrolled and many more are waiting! Please visit our website for detailed information about TMS.

Our Story:

What is the goal for raising money?

The main goal for raising money is to make TMS “SUSTAINABLE!” and it is only possible once we buy the current school building as soon as possible which is now on sale. By buying the building, we would be able to expand our classrooms on the 1st and 2nd floors too. Currently, only ground-floor is operating for schooling which is being used full-time. Another issue is the threat of selling the building. There is no better option in that area to shift the school to and due to its central location, its ideal for the school children. Alternatively, if we got failed to buy it, there is a danger of new landlord who might force us to vacate the place! In that case, we would be back to the beginning state and 10 years of its service could be wasted. It would be very hard to reestablish TMS again or to bring same students again.

Why this cause means so much to you?

            At this time there is a dire need of space for the school because a building is perhaps that item which is of paramount importance. By keeping in view our progress, commitment, passion and dedication for the past decade, the number of students is increasing day by day. Parents are putting their trust on us more, which means a lot to us. TMS is a living example where lives are actually transforming. We can let a miracle happen by converting this serious challenge into an amazing opportunity!
