Our friend, coworker, husband and father was unexpectedly taken from us too soon on October 20, 2016.

Joey left behind a loving wife, three sons who adored him, three sisters, and many friends who loved him dearly.  Those who knew Joey knew him as a loving and kind hearted man with a smile for everyone he met. He was very proud of having played minor league baseball.

He was a very devoted family man and worked hard to support them. His family needs and appreciates all your help. We would really appreciate any donations to support the Vega family during this difficult time of need.

R.I.P. Joey

Flying, especially the Lincoln Park airport has been a big part of my young career growing up as a pilot. When I think about N07, one of the first persons that comes to mind is my man Joey. When I was there full time we shared stories and laughs together like we were best friends. Even when I would come back from long absences, he would always ask me about my life and career and always told me how proud he was that I was achieving my goals. I can honestly say I've never not seen a smile on that mans face. He truly was one of a kind, and one of the happiest men I will ever know. He'll be missed dearly. My thoughts and prayers with his friends and family during these tough times. Rest In Peace Joey, my next beer is for you. Love ya pal
