Alicia Poulter and her family are facing difficult financial as well as emotional times ahead . 6 months ago , after a routine mammogram , Alicia was devastated to learn that after being cancer free for 16 years, cancer cells were detected once again in the same breast . Immediately she started treatment which included a pill and injections . Although she felt sick and tired most of the time , she continued to work as much as possible .
Unfortunately , Alicia has since had to go out on medical disability in order to pursue additional treatments that she will need, which may include surgery . Her husband Matt has already been working 2 jobs to help make ends meet.
Matt and Alicia’s two children, Michael and Emily , are doing what they can to help . Emily is a freshman at Hightstown High School and manager of the girls JV soccer team. Michael will be graduating Mercer Community College in May, and looking to further his education at either TCNJ or NJIT.
