Help Support Spruce Haven

Donation protected
We, as volunteers, at Spruce Haven Nature Park are reaching out to the community of Sault Ste Marie for help in improving our beloved animal sanctuary.
Spruce Haven Nature Park was established in 1988. It is home to over 40 rescued animals which include; chickens, goats, pigs, deer, wolves, donkeys, sheep, ponies, llama, cougar, lions, chinchillas, rabbits, turkey, yaks, peacocks and a bear with over 30 acres of land. Ken and Helen Marshall embarked on this journey as it was Helens dream to have a place where she could provide loving care for injured and abandoned animals. All animals that could be returned to the wild or their natural habitat were. Sadly, not all animals brought to Spruce Haven are capable to survive without continuous care as they age.
Spruce haven is not government or publicly funded. It is primarily supported by the Marshall’s so we are seeking community support.
Our goals are to:
• improve/maintain facilities for our animals according to their needs: larger enclosure for Ben the Bear and Thelma and Louise the Lionesses, as well as higher fencing for our pack of wolves
• increase the educational component of our facility, which will include signage, a map of the sanctuary and a detailed background of each of our animals
• provide an updated picnic area and jungle gym for our little visitors
We appreciate any donations of food (ie. Grain, hay, straw, fruit etc.) and landscaping materials which can be brought to the facility.
Spruce Haven has helped so many animals within the community and has dedicated their lives to this. Please help us give back, donate what you are able and spread the word!
Thank you!
