Thursday, February 22nd 2018, Nicholas Webb was hit by a car going 40 mph when going after his skateboard that had rolled into the road. The accident happened right outside of our house, where his mother was able to rush out and find him face down on the middle divider. His mom had to hold his head up to make sure he wouldn't breathe in his own blood, or the gravel on the road. He was struggling to breathe, and an ambulance was called right away to take him to the hospital. He has bleeding and swelling in his brain, a cracked rib, and a small collapsed lung. We are so blessed we still have him with us.
He is currently in the ICU at UC Davis Hospital, receiving the best care he could possibly get. He is in an induced coma, with a stint in his head to allow the pressure to be released and for the swelling to go down. No child should have to endure what he did Thursday, but we pray that he will be okay. It is undetermined how long he will have to be in the hospital for, but we are anticipating at least a month if not longer.
Nicholas Webb is 14 years old, and a freshman at Del Campo High School. He is in ROTC, he has straight A's, and he is a really really good boy with the biggest heart. He is an avid lover of music, especially rock bands like Avenged Sevenfold. Nick is a great piano player, and has been learning how to play the guitar also all by himself. He has a great support group around him consisting of his family and his friends, the people who love him the most.
Please help us support Nick in anyway possible, keep our little boy in your prayers. These incidents are very,
very costly, and nobody expects for anything like this to ever occur. We have set a goal at $100,000, but please help us in any way you can. Every cent of the proceeds will be going towards Nicholas's medical bills.
My name is Michaela Webb, I am his big sister and I do not understand why these situations happen to good, innocent people. I am writing this with a heavy heart, and all I want is my baby brother back home.
