Help support Maxie

My best friend of almost 12 years went into the animal ER last night. He ate a piece of fruit off the floor that got stuck in esophagus.  Covered in his own saliva, urine and fecal matter (from struggling mightily to vomit out the food - he is an old dog), I ubered to the hospital so that they could put him to sleep and take out the lodged food immediately. 

He's under sleep now for an endoscopy procedure and chances are he'll make a near-full recovery.  However, it cost an arm and a leg to save my pup's life, bringing him to a 24-hour emergency animal hospital in Manhattan.

Whilst the surgery cost a lot more, I am asking for your help in covering some of the costs.  If Maxie ever left an impression on you and you'd like to help support his procedure, he and I would be very grateful.
