Help Sugandha gain eyesight back!

Donation protected
Hi, this beautiful women pictured above is my younger sister Sugandha. When Sugandha was 16 years old and about to go for her board exams in 2001 she first started noticing lose in her vision and day by day it started getting worse.
We did not know how bad it is going to be for starter she had to drop her studies due to medical conditions.
There wasn’t enough resources at that time to give her proper treatment or diagnose the real cause of poor eye sight and constant headaches which further worsen the condition and she started getting convulsion.
We were all so terrified and was already speculating the worse.
We rushed to the best possible then hospitals in the country and found out that she had tuberculosis which needed operating immediately but by then she was already in comma and doctors had to operate her in that state in 2002 in India.
After months of wait when she finally gained back her consciousness but the damage was done and she had lost her eye sight.
She has struggled many other problems after the operation e.g. partial paralysis in her left side of the body, lack of body balance, numbness and lack of sensation on some parts of her face , so quite often she chews her own lips while eating without sensing it, the worst sight for the family.
Her ophthalmologist suggested we see a Nuero-ophthalmologist at AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Science) and many other famous eye hospitals i.e. NIMHANS, Shankar Netralaya etc. but unfortunately there is no cure for optic atrophy which was caused due to her long term medical problem, the optic nerve which connects eyes to brain which helps us to see has dried out partially in her case.
Currently she identifies the colour of the light but that is all, and even with corrective measures she is unable to see, however, there is hope that if being treated properly by Stem Cell Therapy she might be able to gain partial/full vision which then with the help of corrective measures would allow her to see again and become self dependent, at the moment she is on 24 hour care and assistance.
Sugandha is one brave and highly optimistic person I have ever seen who is so patient and fights against all these odds with a hope in her heart everyday. She has improved a lot and is able to do her daily chores with little support but eye sight still remains her major problem.

Recently I found out in my research that there are such cases all over the world and stem cell therapy is proving to be a hope.

There is a stem cell treatment called the Optic Nerve Atrophy (ONA) using Stem Cell Ophthalmology Treatment in China, Singapore and in Florida . I contacted the clinics and shared Sugandha's case file with them based on which she has been accepted for further study to the Singapore clinic in May 2018.
We are asking for donations because the clinic is patient funded.  She will have costly pre and post op visits as well as the travel costs back and forth.
We are hopeful that this is the answer to our prayers for Sugandha. We know and understand not everyone can donate so all we ask is that you share this page and pray for Sugandha.
