Help Sheree recover from her stroke and aneurysm

Donation protected

On Monday the 19th of August 2019, our beloved Sheree suffered from a stroke and an aneurysm. Luckily the friend who was with her, acted quickly and called an ambulance. She was transported to the Seymour Hospital in Victoria and there the paramedic made the decision to have her airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where she has been in ICU ever since.

As soon as she arrived at the hospital, she was rushed into the operation room, whereby the medical team put in a stent. Whilst doing this they discovered that two main blood vessels where not getting any blood flow, which meant they had to remove a fraction of her skull, to release pressure.  Family members were told that she was in critical condition and the likelihood of her making it through the night would be slim. However Sheree has beaten those odds and is still with us. CT scans showed significant damage to her brain and family members were informed that she was at risk of another stroke, could die or if she were to survive it she would require care for the rest of her life.  Doctors had ruled out her having any movement on the right side of her body, however as the days progressed she showed slight movements in her right hand and also leg, against all odds!

We truly believe Sheree is still with us, fighting incredibly hard every day and trying to communicate with us such as by kicking her leg when one family member made a joke of shaving off her eyebrows and drawing new ones on. She clearly did not like that :)

Who is Sheree? : Sheree is a 29-year-old female, who was meant to move to Queensland the weekend of her stroke to begin her new job and start the next chapter in her life. This move was imperative in her healing from losing her boyfriend tragically two years prior. She absolutely adores children and therefore loved her job in childcare and could not wait to start a family of her own. She is incredibly selfless due to always wanting to support everyone around her and always believes in the best in people.

The money we are trying to raise will be used for all medical bills but also anything that Sheree requires regarding her future such as rehab, care etc. The money will also support those family members who have sacrificed their job and their likelihood to be with her every waking moment, who have not left ICU since she was admitted. Therefore the funds that have been raised will be transferred directly to her next of kin who is her brother Michael Densworth.

This has been an emotional journey for everyone involved and will continue to be, so every donation that we receive is appreciated to help ease the financial worries. Thank you from the bottom of our heart and please squeeze your loved ones for us extra tight!
