August 26, 2018 while helping my brother I fell off a scaffold and was seriously injured and was revived five times due to medical complications in the emergency room. I was in the hospital for 17 days to heal from muliple fractures of my ribs on the right side, and surgery to my right, ripped open kidney, Soon after in a rehab facility I suffered high fever for nearly a month which caused a stroke which again, almost killed me. Then, the doctors discoverd an infection on the ripped kidney that required heavy antibiotics for another 2 months. In an effort to save the kidney, yet, another operation was necessary.
On January 25, 2019 I endured surgery to save the right kidney. One week later, I was diagnosed with cancer in this kidney. May 3, 2019 I will have surgery to remove the kidney. Recovery from this surgery will be at least10 weeks. Through all this, I have not been able to work. After this cancer surgery and because of the stroke I will no longer be able to work doing what I have always enjoyed: tree work, cement work and physical labor.
On top of everything I have been living with my 93-year-old mother to help her. She now has been helping me financially. My dog, Duke is also my family. I haven't been able to properly give him the care he also needs.
My friends know I am a caring and giving person. Now that the tables have turned, God willing, the storm will pass.
PS: Don't make me laugh, it hurts!
