Help Save Scooter Bugs Life

Donation protected
Scooter Bug has had a ongoing Urinary Tract Infection since mid June. He has been on 3 different antibiotics steadily since it started and nothing has worked. He has solid blood in his urine. He stayed 5 days at the vet when it started. Scooter Bug has severe Manx syndrome and he is complete incontinent. I have to manually empty his bladder and bowels. He wears diapers as well. He has vertebrae malformations in his spine as well. Last year in October he had a surgery called Perineal Urethrostomy which removed his penis & testicles. They made a opening like a female so it would be easier to express his bladder. It was an emergency surgery as I wasn’t able to empty his bladder at all for 2 days. He has done very well since then until June. I have spent over $1000.00 since June trying to get him better including changing his food, bought a water fountain for cleaner water, and so much more. The antibiotics are just not working and today his vet said they have done all they can do. He is at a critical stage now. His body will become septic and potentially kill him if something isn’t done to get rid of the infection. If we can’t raise the money to help him I either must euthanize to save him the suffering that sepsis will cause or do all that I can to get the money for him to get treated. The vet feels a internal medicine specialist will be able to help and get us back on track with his health. They are referring him to one of the top veterinary schools in the Nation which is Auburn University. He needs to see a Internal Medicine Specialist in order to save his life. They have the ultrasound machines he needs and all the knowledge of figuring out what the cause is and how to fix it. Going to a university is also much cheaper but they are the very best. They wanted to see us tomorrow morning but I have to raise the funds. Today they gave him more medicine to get him through until Monday and pain meds to make him comfortable. They changed him from Clavamox to Baytril.  A deposit of around $1500.00 will have to be made before they will see him. Our vet said she is estimating the total cost to be around $3000.00. Maybe more but no less. Auburn is a 4 hours away from where we live and I will have to miss work. I am a single parent and have no other financial help other than myself working. I must depend on God providing our needs with Scooter Bug. Scooter has a wonderful “village” of friends we have met through his Facebook page and they have helped us tremendously with donations and prayers and daily supplies to care for him. Please I am begging for any help you can give so Scooter can get the help he needs. He is a fighter!! He has fought so hard in his 16 months of life and is one super happy baby! I can’t say thank you enough to everyone who can help us. Any amount is not too small. It all adds up! If you’re not able to donate please pray. If you’re not religious please send well wishes & good thoughts. No matter what I ask that you also please share this to help spread the word so my baby can continue to live out his life. I will also make sure to provide the receipts to prove everything is legitimate. Every penny will go towards his medical bills. May God bless you! Scooter Bug and I send you love and hugs!
