My mother, Corrie Fulwiler, has devoted most of her adult life to helping individuals with HIV/ AIDS after watching her close friend Richard suffer from the disease.
After serving the HIV/AIDS community for 21 years, a series of unfortunate events caused Richard's Place to lose vital funding to continue operating. They have closed one home, but they will soon have to close the other home if we don't help.
By raising funds to continue operating, we are giving Richard's Place more time to find the necessary funds. If it comes down to closing, we will also be giving them more time to find homes, resources, etc.
More information about Richard's Place Inc.: Richard's Place provides Transitional Supportive Housing and Permanent Supportive Housing to homeless individuals living with HIV/AIDS. Our goal is to care for those who have been affected by the virus and can no longer live on their own as well as helping those who can eventually get their own apartment and regain their independence and dignity taking care of themselves. Transportation is given to medical appointments and medication monitoring is vital so our residents can live long healthy lives again.
