Help Save Hank

Donation protected

The website, HelpSaveHank.com, was created to tell Hank’s story -- how an adolescent dog got trapped in a situation he didn't create and how he ended up on Death Row.  The Propp-Estimo Pringle family is seeking community involvement to save Hank by asking for donations.  To date, Hank's expenses have totaled $19,217.43, and $15,574.04  has been received in donations.  Thank you all very much.  Daily updates can be found on Facebook.

On September 8, along with about 25 Hank supporters in HelpSaveHank.com T-shirts,  Adam Karp and I went before Judge Edwards.   We were confident Judge Buzzard's ruling would be reversed  and Hank would be able to come home.  In the alternative, Judge Edwards had a signed stipulation signed by both the plaintiff and defendant to release Hank as a potentially dangerous dog and end this matter.

Judge Edwards chose to only hear arguments in the matter regarding the appeal and regarding Juli Engel's verbal vs. written statement.  Judge Edwards’ questions were only regarding the witness statement that kept changing, and then David Fine, the prosecutor produced a one-page document, handed it to the judge, and the judge entered that as evidence of Juli Engel’s true and correct statement, even though that was not her true and correct written statement on June 19.

Judge Edwards stated he was not called upon to second guess a lower court’s decision, and he upheld Judge Buzzard ruling on June 19.  He gave two weeks until he would sign the stipulation, which ordered Hank’s death in 30 days if an appeal was not filed.

This was another devastating blow for Hank.  I wonder why Judge Edwards thought we all had driven over an hours to come to his court that morning if we weren’t asking him to review our RALJ appeal for the hearing on June 19?

Although Judge Edwards had scheduled a hearing for Monday, September 25, where we would again come before him before he signed the stipulation, he decided to sign it on Monday, September 18, and there was no hearing necessary for September 25.

Hank now has 30 days before he will die.  Adam Karp is working diligently to save this dog.  We will have 30 days to appeal Judge Edwards’ decision.

Lewis County came out last week with an announcement that on Monday 2, 2017, they will be approving an amendment to their outdated dangerous dog law.  Although the article had Hank’s picture front and center, this was probably due to the fact that they are amending the dangerous dog law because of Hank, not because Hank has put anything before them.

On August 8, Steve Hoecker, a Hank supporter dnd creator of the Facebook page, Hank's Hero's, delivered the petition to save Hank with 148,000+ signatures to the Lewis County Board of Commissioners.  At the same time Steve was delivering the petition and signatures, a group of Hank's supporters held a peaceful rally to show support for Hank.
