Help Save Beautiful Bala the Rescue Pup

We are writing to you urgently today to help out our father Doug Murray and his beautiful rescue pup Bala the Tri-Pod in the fight for her life. Bala had a very difficult start at life. She was brought in off of the streets after being rescued from a brutal attack at the hands of her Owner at just 4 months old.

 After multiple surgeries and lots of love and care from her Rescue Organization (her angels --- Mendo Shelter Pets Rescue) the decision was made that her front leg would have to be amputated in order to give her a fair chance at life. Despite what she went through in those terrible few days, you would have never known what this little loving ray of sunshine was put through because within a day of surgery she was immediately up and around on just her three remaining legs, giving lots of kisses and making people smile wherever she went. That is when our dad found her.
After looking at photos of more than 30 rescue dogs and puppies, and meeting several others, he laid eyes on her he knew she was it, she was the only one for him! We called and emailed feverishly to ensure that she was going to be available so he could meet her. He knew he could make up for the terror she experienced as a puppy by loving and spoiling her the rest of her days. When he met her it was an instant love connection.


Bala has become our father’s side kick, the two are inseparable. She has spent the few months of her new life with our father in bed snuggling, at the dog park making new friends several times per week and going on neighborhood walks. Life was good.

Unfortunately Bala has taken a turn for the worse and her new found happiness and freedom has been replaced with heartache, physical pain and despair. Bala has developed a major infection in the bone in her amputated leg and has now developed issues with her remaining “good” front leg as well. Bala at just 7 months old is in danger of becoming crippled and is now not only requiring surgery to remove the rest of her bone in her amputated leg, but now will require possibly multiple surgeries on her good leg in order to correct the issues she is currently facing with that remaining leg bearing the brunt of her weight. Our father is absolutely devastated watching his new love suffer, being in pain, sedated and confined 24 hours a day in preparation for surgery.


While our father is willing to do anything it takes, no matter the cost, to save his precious rescue girl Bala and ensure she can live out the rest of her days without pain, the cost of the surgeries, antibiotics and pain meds are already going to exceed $10,000.00.

His daughters are humbly reaching out to friends, family and the rescue community, requesting any donations and prayers you can offer to help him lessen the financial burden and alleviate some of the stress and hardship while he gets her through this.
