Roger's Natural Cancer Fighting Journey
Roger is a 34 year old steel worker from Monroe, Ohio. He has stage 4 kidney cancer with metastases to his lungs. With 28+ spots or nodules in his lungs, Roger’s disease is quite advanced.
Roger suffered for many years with back pain but thought his tough job and big belly were to blame. It wasn't until June 30th of 2017 that he noticed some red specs in his urine. After seeing his family doctor and having a battery of tests done, it was found that Roger had a 7.3 cm mass on his right kidney and that the kidney was not functioning much at all. The whirlwind of tests and doctor visits after that was astounding.
On August 1st of 2017, Roger had a right radical nephrectomy procedure. They took the entire kidney and surrounding blood vessels and lymph nodes. After waiting several weeks the verdict was in, Renal Cell Carcinoma. But if that wasn't bad enough, they found the disease had spread extensively in his lungs. It was at that time the treatment options—or lack there of—were laid out. Only one option is available that gives Roger any chance at a long term "cure". This option was offered with a 30% success given his good health and young age. This was not good enough for Roger. So he has sought out alternative and natural methods of healing. A local clinic offers several extremely useful options such as: Hyperbaric treatments, High dose vitamin C, ozone therapy and many more—but insurance does not cover any of it.
In the mean time, until funds are available, Roger's new motto is "Food is Medicine" and he has begun treating himself with things that come from the Earth. Roger’s new raw vegetarian lifestyle is an intense regiment of Juicing 64 ounces of fruits and vegetable daily, making green smoothies for breakfast, and salads for lunch and dinner. Also adding in many organic supplements and vitamins. Other lifestyle changes included a water filtration system, switching to organic soaps and body washes, organic deodorant and lotions. Basically if it goes in or on your body it has been switched to an organic alternative.
As you can imagine, Roger's weekly grocery bill is outrageous. He loves being asked by the cashier if he is feeding his rabbits with 15 lb bags of carrots he buys! If Roger does the conventional treatment option he could potentially be off work for over a year. If he does the alternative options, he will be off for a month at a time and have to pay thousands out of pocket. Roger enjoys spreading the word about not only cancer, but taking care of yourself so that you are never in his shoes.
