REC Reach for the Top Nationals

The River East Collegiate (REC) "Reach for the Top" senior student team has finished in second place in the Manitoba Provincial tournament! As a result they have been invited and wish to attend the "Reach for the Top" National Championship to be held in Toronto over 4 days on May 24-27, 2019.
This is the first time in over 25 years that REC has been invited to the Nationals and the last time they won was 1971!!
There are 6 students on the team and funds will be used for airfare, accommodations, food and transportation to and from the airport .
This tournament is less than 3 weeks away and funding is desperately needed. This was an unexpected accomplishment so the costs were unanticipated.
These students, along with several teacher coaches, have been so dedicated and worked so hard over many years to get to this point. It truly is a once in a lifetime opportunity for these students to represent our school and community!

This campaign was set up by me, Karen Shibley, a parent volunteer on behalf of the River East Collegiate "Reach for the top Team". Catherine Ramsay, a teacher coach who is accompanying the students to Toronto this weekend, has been designated as the beneficiary of this account. All online campaign funds will be deposited into Catherine Ramsay's account and she will distribute the funds to the students.
