Help Ria and Baby Laura Get to Indonesia
Donation protected
Soul Fire Farm's beloved "kitchen magician" Ria Taylor has been saving funds to return home to Indonesia and introduce her 9-month old child, Laura, to her extended family for the first time. This trip was set to go, when a magnitude 7.5 earthquake struck Indonesia’s Central Sulawesi province on Sept. 28, 2018, triggering a tsunami and landslides that caused widespread destruction and loss of life. Ria's family members lost their homes and Ria sent all of her earnings home to help them rebuild their lives, leaving nothing left for the plane ticket.
In Ria's own words, "It's been tough year for my family. After my brother's house burn down and then my parents house the roof fell and got damaged. Part of it because of the earthquake that happened in South sulawesi. I have some money that I saved from cooking to visit my parents in Indonesia. But I send the money to my parents so they can fix their house. Thanks Leah for doing this for me and Laura I really appreciate it. Thank you so much."
