Help Rebuild Orion Academy Dominica

Orion Academy is a small, private secondary school (high school) in the Commonwealth of Dominica.
When Hurricane Maria hit Dominica on September 18th one of our buildings was completely destroyed. The main building was then looted. We lost computers, a projector, books and many other supplies. With hard work and the help of volunteers we were able to clear the destoyed building and reopen school on October 16th. (even without electricity!)
As the principal of Orion Academy, I want to thank all of those who have donated thus far. At this time, we have used the funds donated mainly for scholarships to assist families who no longer can afford the school fees due to damaged properties and/or loss of employment. The scholarship funds then are used to pay teachers and buy needed school supplies. Additional funding is still needed to begin work on the destroyed building.
The funds collected have been deposited in my bank account in the United States as per the GoFundMe requirements. I have transferred funds to our school bank account at the National Bank of Dominica as well as purchased supplies for the school with my bank card. I hope in the near future to purchase building supplies.
