Help Randy Marx Bounce Back

On Friday September 14th, 2018 my uncle, Randy Marx suffered a stroke. Anyone who knows Randy Marx or has met him, is aware of what a kind, caring, compassionate person he is. When people say that someone would give you the shirt off their back, Randy is one of those people who literally would.
I can not explain enough how much Randy has impacted all of our lives and we as a family want to give back to him the way he has so selflessly done so over the years.
He is going to need therapy and remain in the hospital or a nursing home until he is able to regain his motor skills, balance, ability to swallow, and strength. He will also not be able to work for quite some time, and the duration is unknown. During this time medical bills are racking up along with normal living expenses. Please donate what you are able to and leave a message of encouragement for Randy Marx and how he has made an impact on your life or made you laugh (because we all know what a GREAT comedian he is).
Below is what happened on Friday the 14th: Randy was complaining of a headache and not feeling well to his brother Roger. Roger offered to take him in, but Randy thought he should just be able to take a nap and hopefully feel better for bowling. Roger went to wake up Randy and he stated he was seeing double, and his speech was slurred. Then Roger noticed his left side of his face began to droop and called 911 per Randy's request.
Our family is very fortunate that Roger was at the house at the time of the stroke and quickly recognized the symptoms. He was able to quickly call 911 and get Randy to the hospital. Once at the hospital he was given a clot busting drug, which appeared to improve his situation greatly.
Randy needed to be flown to Mayo in Rochester, MN to be monitored.

Update from Roger Marx on family Facebook Group:
MRI results are back, the prognosis is good. There was some permanent damage. When the clot broke up it dissipated to different parts of smaller vessels where it came to rest, in essence killing some of the brain cells. Randy said that he only had two to begin with, so he at least still has one good one to work with.
The brain will find ways to reroute the blood to various parts of the brain, so there shouldn't be any permanent brain damage. He should regain all of his motor skills with therapy. They are running a multitude of tests, including an TEE. They still have to see if they can figure out where the clot came from and if there are any additional clots. It was a large clot that may have been building for a little while. They're also keeping an eye on his heart for any sign of a heart attack.
He will remain in ICU until later today, then be moved a standard room on the stroke floor. He will be here for a few, to several days.
