Help Poverty Stricken Holocaust Survivors

Tax deductible
UPDATE:  We are kicking the campaign into high gear soon with a new video detailing the challenges that are faced by our beloved survivors.  Please donate today!

Over 35,000
(the actual number may be as many as 45,000) Holocaust survivors in Israel go to bed hungry, and wake up sick, alone and without the basics to survive.  Will you help us by supporting our mission that sends MitzvahMail aid packages directly to them while helping to fund advocacy programs that insure their comfort in their final years.

We have partnered with Aviv for Holocaust Survivors and Latet Israeli Humanitarian Aid - two NGO's in Israel that will turn your donation into immediate and lasting aid.  Aviv is a  team of attorney's and survivor advocates who work diligently to connect survivors to reparations.  Latet creates and distributes our MitzvahMail aid packages that contain needed items and nourishment for survivors.  Your donation is key and will make a difference in the lives of impoverished Holocaust survivors.

A message to you from Holocaust survivor David Lenga.

About our partners:

Aviv for Holocaust Survivors was established over 10 years ago to help survivors receive all the rights they deserve from Israel and foreign governments and organizations, without payment. The organization works to raise public awareness of the rights of Holocaust survivors and to make the information accessible while providing personal assistance to Holocaust Survivors.  Aviv for Holocaust Survivors also operates a 24/7 telephone hotline and provides assistance to more than 10,000 Holocaust survivors and their families each year.  The organization's lawyers accompany the Holocaust survivors throughout the entire process until their rights are fully realized. All services are provided completely free of charge.  Since its establishment, Aviv for Holocaust Survivors has influenced the lives of thousands of Holocaust survivors and helped them receive significant financial rights to which they are entitled by law and not grace.

For every $1 donated Aviv is able to generate rights and benefits to the survivors valued at $46.

Latet (To Give in Hebrew) - is the largest NGO combating poverty and food insecurity in Israel.  Acting as an umbrella organization, Latet provides for the basic needs of populations living in poverty across the county. The organization was established 20 years ago, operates the leading national food bank and runs impactful aid programs while advocating for change in national priorities. Every month, Latet gives assistance to 60,000 families in need and 1,000 impoverished Holocaust survivors.

Latet's "Aid for Life" program is the only program in Israel that provides impoverished Holocaust survivors with a holistic aid package tailored to their needs. This includes a monthly food box, emergency fund for paramedical needs, home restorations as well as social support in the form of individual volunteers and social events.

The MitzvahMail aid package is built in cooperation with nutritionists and adapted to the needs of our impoverished Holocaust survivors.  Additionally, the survivor receives products and services according to their needs:  adult diapers, blankets and radiators in the winter, cooling fans, dental care, eyeglasses and more.

About The Man/Kind Project:  We live in a splintered world where anti-Semitism and religious / cultural intolerance has taken a foothold and threatens our existence.  Our mission is to build bridges of 'tolerance and understanding' between cultures while giving those who are forgotten by society a voice.  Our success in creating winning campaigns have brought together leaders in the entertainment industries, social media, journalism - as well as clergy and serial entrepreneurs with one goal - heal the divide that is a scar on all of us.  We all share the common thread of oppression, and once we realize that there is more that unites us than divides us, then we have a chance to change the direction of our world.
