Spanish/English. Hola soy Annie. Antes de emigrar a España, empecé a estudiar Artes Visuales en mi país natal Venezuela. Como universitaria pude vivenciar cosas muy especiales y conocer gente maravillosa. Una de ellas fue mi profesora de Estética Zenaida Marín, quien marcó una pauta excepcional e inspiradora para mi. Ella con su jovialidad y un profundo conocimiento en el campo de las artes, me abrió el panorama del arte contemporáneo y despertó en mi la curiosidad investigativa. Zenaida posteriormente se convirtió en mi tutora, ayudándome a encontrar el significado de mi propuesta artística, me ayudó a conocerme como artista.
Zenaida tiene una meta ahora, realizar un Doctorado en Francia con la intención de regresar a sembrar esos conocimientos en Venezuela, un país donde las actividades de desarrollo artístico han mermado debido a la grave situación política, económica y humanitaria que atraviesa. Allí radica lo valioso de alentar a las personas que aún quieren seguir cultivando el arte y la cultura. A través de esta campaña, queremos retribuirle todo el apoyo y conocimiento que ella me dio a mí y otros estudiantes.
Contribuyamos a que ella pueda seguir formándose y dándole a tantos estudiantes sus talentos y profesionalismo. Con tu ayuda será posible.

Hi there, my name is Annie. Before I emigrated to Spain, I was pursuing a Visual Arts degree in my home country, Venezuela. During my time as a student I was able to meet amazing people who gave me extraordinary experiences. Among those was my professor, Zenaida Marín, who became an inspiration to me. Her cheerfulness and extensive knowledge in the art field not only helped me expand my own knowledge in contemporary art but also woke up my curiosity for research. Zenaida became my thesis mentor and helped me find the meaning of my artistic expression, she helped me find myself as an artist.
At this time, Zenaida has a goal. She would like to complete a master program in France, with the intention of cultivating the knowledge she obtains upon her return to Venezuela, a place where artistic development activities have considerably decreased given the fact that the country is going through a severe, political, economic and humanitarian crisis. In every cloud there’s a silver lining, it’s here where we see the opportunity to invite people to keep cultivating culture and art. With this campaign we’re looking to give back all the support and knowledge she gave to me and all her students.
Let’s contribute to the expansion of her knowledge, and to give an opportunity to other students to experience her talents and professionalism. With your help we can make this possible.

Hola a todos. Mi nombre es Zenaida Marín soy bailarina y profesora universitaria. He sido admitida para comenzar un Master en Danza en la Universidad París 8 en el mes de septiembre. La idea es poder concretarlo y proseguir estudios de Doctorado en Danza. En mi país Venezuela hemos abierto en el año 2014 una Licenciatura en Danza y Artes del Movimiento (no obstante la terrible situación económica) y la idea es seguir formándonos para poder ofrecer a mediano plazo estudios de postgrado.
La Universidades públicas durante el período democrático brindaron excelentes oportunidades a su comunidad. Fueron una vía cierta de capacitación profesional y ascenso social. En los últimos veinte años el deterioro ha ido creciendo, los salarios profesorales dejaron de ser cónsonos con la inflación (la más alta del mundo) y la situación actual implica pobreza, abandono del cargo y exilio de profesores, empleados y estudiantes universitarios. A ello se agrega el saqueo de sus instalaciones y laboratorios por parte de la delincuencia organizada sin que las autoridades gubernamentales atiendan en lo más mínimo la situación.
Desde hace diez años soy parte de la planta profesoral de la Facultad de Arte de la Universidad de Los Andes. Actualmente formo parte de la Escuela de Artes Escénicas. Antes de dedicarme a la enseñanza de la teoría y las prácticas artísticas, recibí una formación como bailarina de ballet desde niña, que se fue transformando y ampliando luego de una licenciatura en Historia del Arte y por medio del trabajo artístico en colectivos de arte contemporáneo. Poder viajar y continuar estudiando es seguir haciendo una carrera como profesor universitario y artista. Por lo pronto debo cubrir gastos de matrícula, seguro médico y traslado. Hello everyone! My name is Zenaida Marín. I am a dancer and University professor. I have been admitted to start a Master Degree in Dance at the Paris 8 University on September 2018. In 2014, we opened a Bachelor's Degree in Dance and Motion Arts at the University I work for (ULA), despite the terrible economic situation we´re getting through in Venezuela. I want to continue my Doctoral studies in Dance, because I would like to prepare myself and be able to create Dance Postgraduate Studies in my own country. I want to make it happen!
During the democratic period, the public Universities offered excellent opportunities to their community. They were a certain way of professional training and social climbing. In the last twenty years, the deterioration has been increasing. Professor’s salaries are no longer sufficient for the everyday life, because we have the highest inflation rate in the world. Today´s situation is poverty, work abandonment and the exile of University teachers, employees and students. Also, the University´s laboratories and facilities are sacked by the organized crime while the Government Authorities do nothing.
For the last ten years, I have been part of the teaching staff of the Faculty of Art at the University of Los Andes. Currently, I am working in the School of Performing Arts. Before dedicating myself to the teaching of theory and artistic practices, I received training as a ballet dancer since I was a girl. It evolved and expanded after a degree in Art History and also with the artistic work in contemporary art collectives. Traveling to study is to continue making a career as a university professor and artist. For now, I have to cover tuition, medical insurance and transfer costs. With your help this will be possible.
