Help Phyllis and Ronnie Rebuild
Donation protected
My mother-in-law and long-time foster dog parent with Austin Boxer Rescue, Phyllis Sims King, along with her brother Ronnie Sims, lost their home in a 2 A.M. fire. Everything was lost, along with the lives of two of their foster pups. Phyllis risked her life to rescue her two fur babies by going back into the burning home, however the dogs were unresponsive as she tried to drag them out to safety. The flame engulfed roof collapsed in on her and she had to leave. This is a devastating loss not only to Phyllis and Ronnie, but to the Austin Boxer Rescue community. Phyllis has been a foster for over a decade and has rescued, cared for, and rehabilitated dozens of Boxers that would have otherwise been euthanized. So many of these abandoned dogs have been loved and cared for by Phyllis and ultimately placed in their forever home. She has given so much to the rescue community without asking for anything in return. Please help Phyllis and Ronnie get back on their feet and into a new home so that Phyllis can go back to serving the Austin Boxer Rescue community by bringing in and caring for at risk Boxers who would otherwise be euthanized. Currently they are staying in a hotel until they can find a more permanent solution. This cost adds up rather quickly, and even once they get into their new home, they have lost everything so it will take time to rebuild their lives.
Any amount that you could possibly contribute would be greatly appreciated. Although money will not replace all of the sentimental items and memories lost in that fire, it will make it easier for them to begin to rebuild.
