Help us with the Macau Greys vet costs

These are the greyhounds coming home from the notorious Canidrome, and we at Greyt Greys Rescue need your help. They are ill, and will need extensive vet care – some will need lifelong medication.

For decades, Australian trainers, owners and breeders sent greyhounds to the appalling Canidrome. The derelict and squalid conditions were the final resting place for thousands of greyhounds (most of them born in Australia). Welfare was abysmal, and there was no adoption program – to be sent there was a death sentence.

Through the extraordinary work of ANIMA and others, the Canidrome is now closed and very soon 8 greyhounds will come home to Greyt Greys Rescue and finally have a soft couch of their own and live the life they deserve – as a beloved family member.

The greyhounds coming to Melbourne are:

·         Wins Win – 8 years old black male

·         Collision Doll – 8 years old brindle female

·         Godbless.com – 6 years old black male

·         Not Easy – 5 years old black male

·         Challenger – 7 years old black and white male

·         Oyster Casa – 7 years old white fawn male

·         Speed Lover– 7 years old black female

·         Famous Dog– 7 years old white / black male

The costs they will incur will be high. All will have vet bills during quarantine that we need funds for, and then post quarantine they will also need vet care for any pre-existing conditions, teeth extractions or ongoing issues.

Speed Lover has a heart condition that will require medication costing between $180-$300 monthly for the rest of her life. We are hoping to raise some funds to help her adopter pay for these.

Greyt Greys Rescue does not receive any funding and we already have significant vet bills to pay for the current greyhounds we have in foster carer. WE NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE
