Here are some random pictures of Paws throughout his life so far, they are not in a particular order but he is a sweetheart!

Click here to see a video of us a long time ago but he still acts the same way except now he can’t with the breathing issues.

**Update, Paws his healthy other than this condition”

The mobile vet just sent me the results of Paws blood work and he passed everything with flying colours, you can click on chemistry and the others to get the full breakdown of the list. “Story of what’s going on”
The vets are 99% sure Paws has Laryngeal Paralysis (larynx is paralyzed in the closed position) and a referral has been sent out for a consultation which is June 27th, at 12:30pm in Guelph, Ontario. Paws is in desperate need of the tie-back surgery procedure (they tie open one side of the larynx to allow breathing) because his breathing is getting so bad that he has a breathing crisis almost every single day, sometimes multiple and has accidents inside which he never used to. I have to put diapers on him (which he hates) just to try and prevent any stains on the carpet.

I was recently laid off from work and can’t afford to pay for the surgery and it’s not a cheap one either. I’ve tried everything I can personally so far, I just need help with him.

OVC (Ontario Veterinarian College) gave an estimated cost for the consultation and surgery, which was $4500. They also mentioned that if it becomes an emergency situation because it’s gotten so bad (which it has) it could cost an additional $5000+ for the sedation and oxygen and other stuff to stabilize him. I already know it will be an emergency situation because he can’t even go outside without a breathing crisis coming on.

I’ve had him since he was 9 weeks old, picked him up in Cridersville, Ohio and that was the best day of my life. He still has a lot of life in him but this condition is really making it hard on him. Going outside is next to impossible because something as simple as a gust of wind, takes his breath away and he has an attack but he still tries to be himself.

I really don’t want to lose my baby, lots of people are saying their dogs are back to normal after the surgery. Some were even 13 years of age and lived another 2+ years. He hasn’t given up and I don’t want to give up on him either :(

Thanks to everyone that helps out or took the time to read this.
