HELP OUR LFMS GIRLS GO TO DC.

Please help our Lake Forest History team go to National History Day in Washington, D.C.
Jessie and Amanda with help from their amazing teacher, Mrs. Mitchell, have advanced from the South East, to the state, and now to the national competition with their documentary on The Battle of Athens.
It was a little-known uprising in 1946 that changed the way elections are held today.  Another effect of it was the way county government is operated.   
They have competed with a lot of private schools who get class time to work on their project, but the LFMS team has worked nights, weekends, and school breaks, often until midnight, to meet deadlines.

The competition is 5 days in June. The 3 hotel rooms are going to be $3500-$4000.  
If we fly, it will be about $900 per family for a total of about $2700.

These girls have worked so hard to get to this point.
