Olive Crest Academy is a non-public, non-profit special education school for children in grades K-12 who primarily reside in Orange and Los Angeles county. OCA is dedicated to meeting the academic, emotional, and behavioral needs of exceptional students through individualized and innovative educational programs. This includes the mastery of basic academic skills, critical thinking skills, social skills, vocational skills, and the development of independence, mutual respect, feelings of self-worth and confidence. While we are a non-public school focusing primarily on behaviors, we try to give our students as traditional of an education as possible.
This year the teachers at Olive Crest Academy are working to put together the 1st Annual OCA Science Fair! All students will have the opportunity to participate and present their approved science experiments with fellow students and parents. Not all students at OCA are financially able to provide the materials required for their experiments and staff would like to make this event as fair as possible for all students. Therefore, the teachers are trying to get creative with ways to create an amazing science fair experience for the students.
However, the 1st Annual OCA Science Fair cannot happen without your help. At OCA we realize that every little bit counts. Our goal is to collect $20 per student to cover costs of items required to carry-out experiments as well as presentation materials to display their hard work. Students will begin their experiment processes in April and May and hoping to have funds by mid-March! This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the education of these incredible students and possibly enrich their lives forever.
