Help our Brother in Blue Battle Leukemia

Donation protected
Family and friends, I am reaching out asking for your prayers, love, and support for our brother in blue, Daniel Lawrence.  We fondly call him Danny. Danny has been in law enforcement for 5 years.  He is an investigator with Pardons & Parole and is currently assigned to the U.S. Marshals Task Force in Mobile, Alabama.  What this means is that on a daily basis, he goes after the worst of the worst, wanted fugitives.  I've personally witnessed him work tirelessly on nights, weekends, and even holidays.  He loves his job and his positive attitude is contagious.  He is a shining light on our squad!

Danny is 29 years old.  He met his sweetheart Chelsea, a teacher at UMS Wright, at church and they married two years ago.  I feel privileged to share the news that God has blessed them with the gift of a baby boy due on Christmas Day!  This baby is an answered prayer because it was not known if they'd ever be able to conceive, because Daniel has previously battled leukemia.  He had a bone marrow transplant four years ago.  With all the chemotherapy and treatment he endured in the past, the news of a baby boy is truly a blessing!

After graduating from McGill-Toolen High School, Danny went on to earn a degree in Criminal Justice from The University of South Alabama.  He is a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church.  He is also a firearms instructor and often volunteers his time training others.

About a month ago, Danny received the tragic news that his Acute Myeloid Leukemia has returned.  He will be hospitalized on September 25th at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia to undergo another bone marrow transplant.  Following the procedure, he must stay in the hospital for 100 days.  This means he will be in the hospital,  undergoing treatment more than 300 miles away, during the birth of his first child.

The goal of this GoFundMe is to provide Danny and his family some relief from the costs of travel and lost wages so that he can focus on his treatment and recovery.  This will be a long and difficult process but he is a proven fighter and is ready for the challenge.  Danny has dedicated his life to putting others before himself.  I humbly ask for your support in the battle he will be conquering in the near future.  Thank you in advance for your support and prayers.
