The BFA Takes LA
Who Are We?
We are the 16 members of the graduating Performance BFA cohort at Southern Oregon University, and we want to take what we've learned to the next step!
For the last two+ years, we have been working hard in Ashland, Oregon as actors, singers, dancers, drag queens, puppeteers, and more while honing our craft and building our skills under the watchful eyes of our faculty and directors.
Finally (FINALLY!) our time here at SOU has come to a close. In this last term of our college careers, we are putting together a showcase of some of our best work, and we could use your help!
What Are We Doing?
Our final BFA class is our graduating thesis. For our last hurrah, we are compiling a short performance of our best scenes, monologues, and songs to show off what we've learned and what we have to offer as fresh faces in the performance industry (and of course, show the parents what they've been paying for...)
Showcasing our talent for our friends and family is all well and good and fulfilling, BUT our goal is to take this thesis to the ~big city~ to show off in front of industry professionals in Los Angeles.
Now hopefully, our school will help fund some of our travel in the name of arts education, but this campaign would help us to rent a theater space in the city and feed our sweet starving-artist selves.
