Help Niko on his road to recovery

Donation protected
Anyone who knows Niko knows what a humble guy he is, described as any one of these things; a true gentleman, a funny guy, a tinkerer, always up to something, loyal to the core, a one of a kind crack up.  He has worked in the construction industry for the last 13 years from a young boy to a man now. Working for Alibeam, he  is part of the family.  He has grown to have a love of working with his hands in the trade.

On the evening of 7th February, his life changed.  In his beloved back yard,  where he spends many hours tinkering, he was moving a gas bottle when it exploded.  From the explosion, Niko sustained significant burns to 75% of his body.  He has been  ICU at the Alfred Hospital and currently in the burns unit there.  Niko has already undergone two major operations, with the second lasting for more than 12 hours, where skin grafts took place using his own and artificial skin to start the repair process.  He was  in an induced coma until recently.

Due to the extent of damage to his body, it is hard to determine when he will be able to return to work.  He had been subcontracting at the time, so currently is not receiving any income.  The amount of further surgery he will require, as well as rehabilitation, will take a toll on his finances, as it will on his family who have been by his side since the moment of the accident.

The funds raised will help Niko take the time he needs to heal and get back to work.

Any amount that you can donate will truly be appreciated.
