Help my friend get out of danger

I’m setting this GoFundMe up on behalf of my friend “Julie”, who is in an abusive situation and needs to get out of it as soon as possible.
She lives with her abuser, who has a frightening amount of control over her life, including her finances. This person physically assaults her on a regular basis (more than once a week) and has sent her to the hospital on at least one occasion. Julie is verbally attacked and gaslit constantly, with her abuser setting up an ever-shifting set of goal posts for her to meet, and she is made to feel worthless when she cannot. She has had her money stolen and personal property destroyed. She needs to get out.
Because of circumstances which I have been asked not to detail as they might identify her, Julie can’t call the police on her abuser. While several friends including myself are willing and able to offer a place to stay until she’s able to get on her feet, making a fresh start costs money, and that’s where the community comes in.
Funds donated toward this campaign will be used for:
1. Moving expenses. Julie needs to put as much distance as she can between herself and her abuser, and even though she will be leaving almost everything behind, this still isn’t cheap.
2. Living expenses. Food, maintaining her phone, all of the various day-to-day costs that everyone has to deal with, particularly while job hunting in a new city.
Stretch goals! Any money donated that goes beyond basic survival will go to:
1. Getting her own place. Nobody should have to live on couches and in spare rooms forever. To establish herself as the independent woman she knows that she can be, Julie will need not only a down payment and the security of a couple months’ rent in savings, she will also need to start accumulating furniture.
2. Obtaining a car. Some areas have excellent public transportation systems. Ours is unfortunately not one of them, and Uber gets very expensive very quickly. Julie’s employment options will be vastly improved if she is not limited to walking distance.
3. Education. In the (amazing, miraculous) event that everything else is covered, Julie intends to go back to school with the intention of pursuing a degree.

Julie is a strong, amazing, funny woman who deserves the chance at a happy life that is free from fear.
