Help my family survive their fire

Today my sister in law Carol Woytych felt the devistation of what a fire can do..how it could change a life in an instant.  Today, five of my family members are now homeless, hoping to somehow repair the damage from a fire that tore through their home on this beautiful sunny afternoon, the only house she has even known.  A place where she built her empire, raised her four children on her own after losing her husband to cancer in 1991.  She  shared her home with her son Timothy, daughter Anna and her fiance Andrew and their daughter Molly James.  They all survived but now they have no place to call home.

It's going to take many months of hard labor, sweat and tears to put their home back together.   The siding needs to be replaced, new roof and windows and all of her appliances and furniture are gone.  They have nothing left but a shell on half of the house.  The entire inside is destroyed.

Unfortunately Carol was placed with a decision to either have knee surgery on both knees, where if the surgery wasen't done would eventually cripple her or buy house insurance for her home.   It's sad to have to make these decisions and never thought that this fire would take her home from her and her family.

So many families don't realize how sometimes you have to make a decision financially to choose..food on the table, clothes on your back..a warm place to call home..health insurance/home insurance.  We're not all fortunate to be able to have all these comforts and sometimes we take all of these comforts for granted.

Carol was never rich, but rich in love for her family and grandchildren.  She opened her heart and home to whomever needed a place to stay without asking for anything in return.  She is a welcoming person who would never turn her back on friends and family or total strangers.  She has never asked for a handout and has worked for everything she owns.

Today, I ask you to please open your hearts and somehow find a way to contribute to help put this family back in their home and help repair the damage from the fire that destroyed their safe haven.

She's been through way too much heartache in her life but always finds a way to look at the bright side of everything.  That must be the Irish in her..to never give up..to always have faith and to carry on and move forward.
